Barneys New York's Sole Series Continues With an adidas Stan Smith and Superstar Release
Properly pared down.

Barneys New York teams up with adidas Originals once again for another installment of its BNY Sole Series. This time around, the luxury retailer keeps it clean and timeless with a special Stan Smith and Superstar release. Both are crafted from smooth leather, trimmed with gold heel panels and features the BNY logo at the tongue. To further their minimalist design, the shoes are given a deconstructed treatment — there’s less stitching and both pairs are left unlined. A laser-cutting technique is also used on the Superstars to create a sleeker version of the footwear brand’s iconic three stripes. According to the retailer’s senior buyer, who also leads the collaboration, “The styles feel more elevated and aligned with how we’d buy shoes for ourselves. Because there are almost no visible stitch lines on the shoes, these classics are pushed to another level. Our design is a way to strip down an iconic style to it’s most minimal aesthetic.”
Priced at $150 USD, both models for men and women can now be purchased at the Barneys New York website.
