Iconic Graffiti Artist Futura & G-SHOCK Celebrate Their Relationship With a Brand New Collaboration
An active timepiece becomes the canvas for the legendary artist.
G-SHOCK is adding another collaborative project to their already long list by teaming up with iconic graffiti artist Futura. The Brooklyn-based artist will add his original twist to G-SHOCK’s GDX6900FTR-1 model by applying his atomic graphics also seen in his recent work with Converse throughout the watch face and strap. From his beginning days of tagging subways in NYC to creating works of art that are now considered valuable collectibles, the forthcoming mashup with G-SHOCK also hosts many features from being shock- and water-resistant (up to 200m) to housing a reliable ten-year battery for a balance of art and function. The timepiece will retail for a price of $180 USD and is set to release on June 1.
