Watch A-COLD-WALL*-Styled Film "Footsteps" by Kojey Radical
UK spoken word artist teams up with London fashion imprint.
UK spoken word artist and poet Kojey Radical releases the first visual from his 23 Winters EP titled “Footsteps.” Directed by THE REST, “Footsteps” is an experimental, sonic ode which speaks on internal struggles and human resilience in defiance of industry stereotypes. “I’m not here to be an example of the popular opinion, I’m here to offer the neglected perspective in a way that is undeniable. Whether I’m ostracized or celebrated for forward thinking, my wings are yet to form” said Kojey. Clocking out to just over five minutes, the clip shows model Harry Uzok, Kaner Flex and WET WIPEZ (who recently appeared in recent visuals by FKA Twigs) in dimly-lit surroundings, playing various roles which bring forth Kojey’s candid, upfront lyrics. Styled by Samuel Ross and Ace Harper of A-COLD-WALL*, the short shows the London-based artist to innovate beyond the booth, bringing together components of film and fashion in the creation of an exhilaration short.
