After heading to the sunny beaches of Rio de Janeiro and Miami in recent months, Monocle hit a decidedly different locale for the latest addition to The Monocle Travel Guide Series: Vienna. Long known as a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe, the Austrian capital is one of the continent’s most distinct melting pots and is home to much more than the Baroque palaces, horse-drawn carriages, crowded Prater and Vienna State Opera house with which it’s oft associated.
