Burger Joint Three Buns Taps Cult Illustrator Fergadelic for a Capsule Collection
Food and fashion, what more could you ask for?
Indonesia- and Singapore-based burger spot Three Buns is teaming up with popular illustrator Fergus Purcell, better known as Fergadelic, on a special capsule collection. Known for creating Palace Skateboards’ signature tri-ferg logo, he’s also contributed to the rebranding of Marc By Marc Jacobs as well as working alongside the likes of Stussy, Daft Punk, Paul Smith and McQ. Capturing the essence of motocross, the range places a Fergadelic twist to the Three Buns’ mascot, Wilfred the Bulldog. Original graphics have been developed for the collection’s pieces which include T-shirts, sweatshirts and accessories.
Previously partnering up with Japan’s own NEIGHBORHOOD, the forthcoming collaboration from Three Buns and Fergadelic has also helped spark the creation of a special burger made by Chef Adam Penney. Inspired by Fergadelic’s vegetarian lifestyle, the burger is made up of fried tempeh, cucumber, bread and butter pickle, scallions, BBQ sauce, cabe rawitt, coriander, den miso mayo, kecap manis glaze, and lettuce in a rice bun. In addition, the special burger can be washed down with a Fergalada, Three Buns’ own spin on your traditional pina colada cocktail.
The Fergadelic x Three Buns capsule will officially launch at pop-up stores at Three Buns’ Jakarta location on April 29 and at Three Buns’ Singapore site on May 6.
