adidas Skateboarding Taps Welcome Skateboards for Its Latest Collab
Welcome and the Three Stripes follow last year’s drop with another special capsule.

After linking up with Alltimers for a range inspired by vintage Boston Marathon looks, adidas and its skate-centric imprint are back, this time teaming up with California-based Welcome Skateboards for its latest collab. Taking cues from Welcome’s signature artistic aesthetic, the release builds on last year’s collaborative drop with yet another jersey and sneaker. Here the footwear comes in the form of a seafoam blue Matchcourt Mid in premium suede while a special jersey sports Welcome’s trademark owl and a number of other quirky details. Said Welcome founder Jason Celaya of the adi partnership:
I am a proponent of the evolution of both my personal life and my company, however, there are a few things in my life that are constants. Along with skateboarding and art, one of those constants has been adidas. Probably ever since the mid ’80s I have worn Adidas as my skate shoes and my date shoes.
This season’s Three Stripes x Welcome drop is set to hit specialty retailers this Sunday, May 1.
