Following in the footsteps of King Kong vs. Godzilla, Freddy vs. Jason and others, director Kōji Shiraishi has brought two of Japan’s most iconic horror films together in Sadako vs. Kayako or The Ring vs. The Grudge. Initially thought to be an April Fool’s joke last year and subsequently confirmed in December, this crossover is exactly what you imagined: a young girl watches a cursed videotape and finds herself stuck in the middle of a murderous fight between two long-haired ghosts.
Serving as the 12th installment for both franchises, Sadako vs. Kayako will hit Japanese screens on June 18, 2016.
