A 'The Ring' & 'The Grudge' Crossover Film Is Happening

Freddy vs. Jason, Batman vs. Superman, and now, Sadako vs. Kayako. The vengeful spirits of The Ring (2002) (the English remake of Ringu) and The Grudge (2004) (the remake of Ju-On) come together in this upcoming Japanese horror movie about two evil supernatural icons in a horrific face-off. The Kouji Shiraishi-directed film stars 24-year-old Japanese fashion model and actress Mitsuki Yamamoto as the main character Yuri, who stumble’s upon Sadako’s cursed video tape from The Ring. Meanwhile, high school student Suzuka, who is played by 18-year-old Tina Tamashiro, moves into the house across Kayako’s cursed home from The Grudge as both girls encounter the evil spirit tandem.

While we’re still waiting for an English version of the trailer to surface, watch the original Japanese trailer in the video above. Sadako vs. Kayako is slated for a Japan-only release in regular and 4DX quality on June 18.
