Alber Elbaz Has Been Dismissed From Lanvin's Board of Directors
The French house severs yet another tie with its former creative director.

The ties that bind Alber Elbaz and Lanvin continue to go by the wayside. After asking the Moroccan-Israeli designer to step down from his creative director role back in October of last year, the French fashion house has now dismissed Elbaz from its board of directors. The decision was reportedly reached following a brief technical meeting at Lanvin’s Parisian headquarters and essentially means Elbaz will have no say in the future of the label going forward. Elbaz will, however, retain his minority share in the company.
Elbaz was reportedly forced out at the label following accusations of poor designs by majority shareholder Shaw-Lan Wang. Subsequently the label announced in March that Bouchra Jarrar would succeed Elbaz following his 14-year tenure.
