Doctor Strange Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe With Debut Trailer

From Sherlock to Doctor Strange, British thespian Benedict Cumberbatch helms the latest Marvel franchise to be included in its increasingly convoluted universe. Taking a diversion away from the rah-rah of a superhero-heavy plot thus far, this trailer marks Marvel’s first cinematic foray into the mystic arts. Here, we see Doctor Strange embark on his journey to becoming the Sorcerer Supreme after his encounter with The Ancient One (played by Tilda Swinton) in the Sanctum Sanctorum, where he first takes on his astral form.
