Ronda Rousey Will Be Facing Miesha Tate for Bantamweight Championship
“Looks like I gotta get back to work.”

Following yesterday’s stunning upset at UFC 196 where Miesha Tate beat Holly Holm in with a rear-naked choke, Dana White confirmed that the new bantamweight champion will be facing fan favorite Ronda Rousey. Holm, who took the title from Rousey late last year had been confirmed to defend her title from Rousey later this year. However, Tate will now be the one to fight Rousey, who hasn’t returned to the ring since her first defeat ever at the hands of Holm. According to White, “I think that Ronda now will now fight Miesha Tate for the title – that’s what’s gonna happen. That’s what I said before this fight even happened. Whoever wins tonight will fight Ronda for the title.” Apparently Rousey wasn’t tuning in to the match, but when White texted her about the outcome she replied “Looks like I gotta get back to work.”
