The 2016 Hennessey Performance Camaro SS Breaks the 200MPH Barrier

Texas’s own Hennessey Performance has a soft spot for breaking speed records and beefing up American muscle cars, so it makes sense that the car tuning specialists would turn to a classic for its next challenge. This time around, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS gets a shot in the arm that takes it from 455 horsepower all the way over 750 thanks to upgraded cylinders and headers, among other changes. Perhaps the most pivotal change, however, was the 146 horsepower boost provided by a nitrous-oxide kit — as a result, the car pushed past the 200 MPH mark, maxing out at 202.
