A Virtual Reality 'Star Wars' Game Is Coming
Our first look at ‘Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine.’
Battlefront may have just launched back in November, but another Star Wars video game is already in the works — and this time it’s tailored specifically for VR. First teased on the Industrial Light and Magic Lab website, Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine is billed as a “cinematic virtual reality experiment” while its initial teaser trailer features everything from the Millennium Falcon and beloved R2-D2 to downed TIE Fighters and a blaster-deflecting lightsaber. While there’s little info on the game outside of the trailer, Trials on Tatooine is being developed for the HTC Vive — and considering the device is due out this April, the game’s release may not be all that far off.
