"The Onyx" by Deus Ex Machina
A beautiful all-black custom with a built-in surfboard rack.
Custom kings Deus Ex Machina is back with another beautifully-updated model dubbed “The Onyx” spearheaded by Deus head bike builder Jeremy Tagand. Fixed with a classic all-black paint job and finishings, the bike has a cockpit that’s been transformed with a mix of Japanese and German hardware, and is paired with the model’s matching black MX bars from a Yamaha TW, black Pazzo levers, a black ceramic-coated British custom exhaust, a Motogadget Chronoclassic speedo, Motogadget M-Unit and a new pair of black Ohlins shocks. The model’s also fitted with a bespoke alloy fender to hold the bike’s powerful Dynojet magic box power commander, courtesy of the Deus team. With the absence of a cooler, the model’s stock Triumph tank boasts an extra 400 ml of coolant, making this powerful British engine run on 20% cooler than stock.
Fine detailing like the remodelled blinkers and tail light support the subframe’s custom Californian-based trimmer that’s been outfitted with waterproof Kushitani leather. And finally, The Onyx also has a built-in surf rack made of custom brackets on the side, making this the perfect city-to-beach motorcycle.
The Onyx is now available for purchase for the U.S. and Europe online.
