The Anicorn Series K452 Watch Is Inspired by Habitable Exoplanets
Interstellar horology at its finest.

Having released the Series 000 watch to critical acclaim in 2014, Hong Kong-based independent watch brand Anicorn continues with its head-turning concentric dial design with a new timepiece in the Series K452. Named as such in honor of the Kepler-452b exoplanet discovered by NASA’s Kepler spacecraft, the K452 features hour, minute and second discs in lieu of traditional hands, which are inspired by astronomer Johannes Kepler’s discovery of the mechanics of orbital movements. The time is read downwards from an engraved notch in the watch’s bezel at 12 o’clock.
Powered by an automatic Miyota caliber 9015, the watch is encased in a transparent caseback. A convex hard Plexiglass crystal harks to the cockpit glass of a spacecraft, while a Milanese steel mesh bracelet — which can be easily switched with a leather strap with the watch’s smart docking system — adds a futuristic and refined aesthetic.
Featuring the custom Coupé typeface by Swiss studio Nouvelle Noire, the Series K452 will be available in Solar, Dawn, Luna and Interstellar colorways, the latter of which is exclusive only to Kickstarter backers. Head to the crowdfunding page now to nab the early bird price of $329 USD, and anticipate the first units to ship in July.
