XLARGE Crafted a Reversible Alpha Industries MA-1
The iconic flight jacket gets a dose of reflectivity and M-65-inspired construction.
XLARGE has had quite the 25th anniversary celebration. In the past few months alone, the Japanese stalwart has teamed up with the likes of Anwar Carrots, CLSC, mita sneakers, PUMA, Hajime Sorayama, 24Kilates, Diadora and WILD THINGS. Now, as the celebratory 25-year anniversary comes to a close, XLARGE is going out with a bang and putting its own unique spin on Alpha Industries’ MA-1. Not only did the Japanese outfit replace the bomber’s prototypical nylon construction with the water-repellant olive drab of the M-65, but it covered the interior of the jacket with 3M reflectivity and a custom Blood Chit patch. Finally, co-branded details throughout — including the piece’s iconic “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT” tag — further pay homage to the so-called “silver” anniversary.
