There’s no stopping Netflix with its slew of original shows and movies this December. The streaming giant just released its new original series called The OA and now the company is set to drop Travelers. This time around, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of time-traveling FBI agents. Will & Grace actor Eric McCormack helms the protagonist role, leading a tattered squad of justice-seekers who journey to the 21st century from the distant future to allegedly prevent a worldwide catastrophe. The show’s plot is more or less similar to X-Men: Days of Future Past and the impending Assassin’s Creed film — after all, the agents “assume the lives of seemingly random people,” as per the synopsis.

Watch the first official trailer above and expect the series to launch December 23 on Netflix.
