A new, extended trailer for the forthcoming Universal film The Great Wall has surfaced. Starring Matt Damon, The Great Wall is set to arrive in Chinese theaters on December 16 and in the United States on February 17, 2017. Today’s teaser in support of the movie comes in at an ambitious nine minutes in length, making it one of the longer blockbuster trailers released in recent memory. The new look at the film focuses specifically on the backstories behind each of the movie’s major characters, including Matt Damon’s William Garin. The Great Wall will also serve as the very first English-language piece from House of Flying Daggers and Hero architect Zhang Yimou.
