The idea of artificial intelligence and robotic sentience has been regularly explored in film and entertainment for years. From the story of a lost boy in A.I. to the struggle for free will displayed in Westworld, it seems our obsession with the replication of life is a concept that will not be forgotten about any time soon. For Effulgence, its latest fall/winter collection references a few film properties with robotic life that was a bit more human than humans. Through a range of graphic tees, headwear and outerwear, the San Francisco-based streetwear label gives a nod to Akira, Blade Runner and the like.
