Dark Circle Releases a Richard Hambleton Capsule Collection for Woodbury House
An exclusive look at this street-art-meets-streetwear project.
Woodbury House Contemporary Art‘s latest project is a collaboration with UK premium streetwear brand Dark Circle and “Godfather of Street Art” Richard Hambleton, who propelled the NYC art scene in the ’80s alongside Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. The project is a twenty-five piece edition of repurposed artworks and an “elevated streetwear” capsule collection titled Shadowman. The capsule collection will feature sixteen limited edition pieces of “wearable, accessible art” including T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, and collectable art merchandise such as skateboard decks and ashtrays. The series incorporates Hambleton’s paintings, such as his famous “Shadowman” figures, with Dark Circle’s iconic typographically lead aesthetic. Each piece will come with a custom designed presentation box, a collection lookbook and a certificate of authenticity from Woodbury House.
The Dark Circle: Richard Hambleton x Woodbury House Shadowman collection is available at The Dark Circle webstore, with prices starting at £30 (approximately $38 USD).
