OMEGA Unveils the Full Range of Seamaster Planet Ocean's "Deep Black" Collection
The watches come in four editions, 18K Sedna™ gold, blue, red and black.

OMEGA has released the latest update to its Planet Ocean model with the “Deep Black” collection. The Planet Ocean is a relatively new addition to the OMEGA Seamaster range, debuting in 2009. The watch specialists first unveiled the “Deep Black” collection back in June and now it’s displaying all four models, coming in 18K Sedna™ gold, blue, red and black editions.
The “Deep Black” collection stands out because each watch is crafted from a single block of ceramic, also using the material on its uni-directional bezels, as well as on the dials. The black model uses Liquidmetal® to create the “He” symbol on the helium valve and the OMEGA symbol, while the blue and red models use a rubber injection instead. The straps on all the models are designed to appear as if they’re made of fabric, with contrast stitching and an anti-bacterial coating. The different colorways are more for than aesthetic purposes. During OMEGA’s research they discovered that the certain colors are no longer visible at certain depths in the water, with the black model being visible at a depth of 300m.
The collection is available now from select OMEGA boutiques.
