Eddie Huang is a veritable jack of all trades: chef, restaurateur, TV personality, author, human panda — he really does do it all. Now, the Baohaus owner and star of VICELAND’s Huang’s World can add sneaker designer to his list of accomplishments. HYPEBEAST caught up with the Based FOB on Manhattan’s Lower East Side to get the inside scoop on his collaboration with adidas Originals. The Huang’s World Superstar kitchen shoes are an uber-durable take on the classic Three Stripes silhouette, featuring a durable, stain-proof suede upper complete with a steel shelltoe and a neoprene sock-liner. A non-slip sole ensures the wearer’s safety, while a black and pink colorway makes these stylish in or out of the kitchen, or as Huang so aptly puts it: “You look fly and you can work in it.” Inspired by his family’s heritage, Huang’s take on the adilette slide — “The greatest sandal ever made” — features maps of the Pacific Ocean and North America and are perfect shoes to rock after you get home from work.

Catch up with Eddie in the video above and be on the lookout for the adidas Originals x Huang’s World pack, dropping October 8 on adidas.com and select Three Stripes flagships worldwide.
