Expect Big Things From Apple's Slick New London Flagship Launch on October 15
‘We hope you like what we’ve done with the place.’

After unveiling its new approach to retail with the launch of its San Francisco flagship store back in May, visitors to the revamped London flagship on Regent Street can expect a similarly future-forward retail concept later this week. In collaboration with Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design officer, and Angela Ahrendts, VP of retail and online stores, architectural titan Foster + Partners has applied its touch to what was Europe’s original Apple store, removing part of the mezzanine to create a double-height atrium, enhancing the building’s original elements. Increased natural light, the addition of trees and what’s alleged to be the longest luminous ceiling panel in the world are all part of the new look as Apple aims to ditch the cookie-cutter approach to new stores in favour of a more site-specific design mentality. No images are currently available but judge its success for yourself when the store opens on October 15.
