Panerai Reveals the Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio Watch
The luxury watchmaker brings new innovations for SIHH.

Luxury Italian watch manufacturer Panerai reveals its crown jewel for SIHH: the Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio. The annual fine watch exhibition gathers 24 exhibitors this year in Geneva to reveal new models and innovations in the timepiece industry. The 47mm Luminor 1950 is a framework version of the Tourbillon GMT and embraces a brushed titanium construction apart from the red gold hue found on its predecessor, the Lo Scenziato Radiomir 1940. A relatively new 3D printing process known as Direct Laser Sintering was used to produce this model causing it to be 35% lighter than previous renditions, weighing a total of 23 grams. Also included in the Luminor 1950 is Panerai’s in-house manual-winding movement of P.2005/T, complemented by a sapphire crystal case back allowing you to see the inner-workings of the watch.
