Apple Registers a Number of Top Level Automotive Domains
The tech giant returns to its already-surging rumour mill as the proud owners of apple.auto, apple.car and apple.cars.

Following mass speculation and former Apple senior vice president Tony Fadell’s interview with Bloomberg late last year, the technology giant has taken more ever so slightly elusive steps towards what can only hint at the inevitable arrival of “Project Titan.” Having recently registered a number of top level internet domains including apple.car, apple.auto and apple.cars, such efforts could be in place to promote Apple CarPlay, but at the same time point towards what we can only assume will be the “iCar.” Amongst registering the new domains, Apple is reported to have begun hiring employees with an automotive background and questioning California’s GoMentum Station about the possibility of testing some sort of car at the former naval base. Stay tuned for more updates on a potentially huge step for Apple.
