Australian illustrator Mark Dingo Francisco has perfectly summarized the whimsical character of each of Wes Anderson’s films in these postcard and postal stamp homages to the quirky director. Each postcard condenses the most essential elements of each film into one tableaux — here we have the films The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, The Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling Limited, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Rushmore and Bottle Rocket. The postal stamps take the act of summation even further, turning the essence of each film into one all-encompassing symbol. Enjoy the selection of illustrations above.
