Medicom Toy 100% JGSDF Bearbrick
Medicom Toy is dropping an ursine take on the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
Having previously paid homage to the Blue Impulse — the 11 Squadron of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, the Japanese equivalent of the United States Navy’s “Blue Angels” — Medicom Toy is back with an ursine take on the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. Due out next week, the limited edition Bearbrick is a nod to the de facto army of Japan and comes decked out in a camouflage uniform along with a matching helmet and goggles. Look for the 100%-sized Bearbrick to hit select stockists August 23 for ￥3,000 JPY (approximately $24 USD) with a portion of the proceeds going to relief funds for disaster victims through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
