For its Fall/Winter 2015 collection, 3.1 Phillip Lim took to the mountains for a climbing-influenced spin on contemporary menswear. The American designer’s alpine-inspired styles range from parkas and jumpsuits, to backpacks and boots, with the addition of details such as harness-like straps, rope motifs and the kind of vintage fabrics used by traditional alpine climbers. Among the standouts are pieces like an oversized flight bomber jacket, layered zip-front parka and funnel-neck pullover, while Lim’s signature combo fabric pieces return in the form of shorts/pants hybrids, lounge pants and sweaters with shirt tails.
