Nike Signs #1 and #2 to Its Basketball Roster
The top two picks in the 2015 NBA draft, Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell, join the Swoosh.

Aggressive as always on the basketball tip, Nike has announced the signing of the top two picks from this past draft in June. Karl-Anthony Towns was picked up first overall by the Timberwolves. He’s expected to be one of the centerpieces on a young roster that includes last year’s Rookie-of-the-Year Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio and Zach LaVine. D’Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers may have been the most exciting player in the draft, and will surely bring some showtime back to the gold and purple. Although the contracts have yet to be revealed, Nike did state more signees will be named in the coming weeks.
