A Recap of Sneakers Love Portugal
The country’s first-ever sneaker convention.
Following in the footsteps of European sneaker conventions like Sneakerness and Crepe City, Sneakers Love Portugal, the first ever sneakers event in Portugal, recently took place in the country’s capital of Lisbon. Located in an old glass factory, more than a thousand sneakerheads attended show up to what started out as a Facebook group just a couple of years back. The likes of ASICS, Le Coq Sportif, Saucony and Vans, along with burgeoning imprints like CLAE and Gourmet Footwear all presented their latest products in showrooms, while Portuguese and Spanish sneaker establishments put out a selection of limited kicks for sale. The sneaker craze will continue to spread across the globe in the foreseeable future, so expect to see a lot more events popping up in new locations around the world.
