For 2016 spring/summer, American fashion house Tom Ford has released a mod-centric lookbook referencing the style revolution seen in the 10 years preceding the 1960s and its respective turnaround. Carefully considered tailoring is retained across the collection and combined with an array of pattern work reminiscent of London’s “swinging ’60s” as a series of refined, shawl-collar dinner jackets carry such cues over sheen, saturated color fabrics. Each outfit has been styled according to its referenced era with classically cut leather jackets juxtaposed against thick frame glasses, breton-stripe layering and textured shirting tucked into examples of heavy denim bottoms. Marking an obvious transition from last season’s geometric black and white collection, the brand’s latest offering is playful and wholly psychedelic.
