Givenchy 2016 Spring/Summer Collection
Riccardo Tisci unveils his latest work for Givenchy.
First Jesus Christ, then Kendall Jenner, then Naomi Campbell. Surprise by surprise, Riccardo Tisci unveiled his hotly-anticipated collection for Spring/Summer 2016 in Paris. The French fashion house and its notoriously renegade creative director designed a collection, it seems, for not only the public but the headlines as well. The likeness of Christ is indeed the running theme here, as is Tisci’s hallmark star motif, as Givenchy presents a dark selection of statement pieces. The silhouettes themselves range from transparent crewneck tops to cropped jumpsuits for men, while traditional tailoring is also preserved. Otherwise, the Italian designer presents a hodgepodge of experimental pieces that are certainly left to interpretation. Peruse highlights from the collection here, and be sure to leave thoughts on Tisci’s latest work below.
