Today, Converse announces the opening of Converse Rubber Tracks in Boston on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. The new recording studio, located adjacent to Converse’s world headquarters in downtown Boston, will serve as a permanent creative hub for emerging acts, providing artists the opportunity to record original music alongside a team of experienced engineers and producers, at no cost. The new 1,100 square-foot studio designed by acclaimed studio designer Fran Manzella will be the first-of-its kind in the New England region and follows in the footsteps of the flagship Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, NY and the second studio in Sao Paulo, Brasil. “For over three years, Converse has nurtured the music community in Boston through Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studios and Converse Rubber Tracks Live shows,” said Jed Lewis, Converse Global Music Marketing Director. “We’re proud to contribute to a city that boasts such a large, untapped pool of extraordinary talent that shares a deep passion and love for music. Through Converse Rubber Tracks, we aim to invest in the future of the music culture by helping inspire this new generation on an ongoing basis.”
