Nike has unveiled the next installment in its Free Trainer line — the Nike Free Trainer 5.0. Ingrained within the sneaker’s construction is the latest Nike in-house technology, for a completely new mold and subsequent on-foot experience. Five Flywire cables are positioned along the upper to ensure a heightened level of stability that complements the dynamic upper, which boasts enhanced breathability for a sturdy, snug fit. The Nike Free outsole has been redone, now sporting hexagonally-shaped flex grooves that respond to natural foot placement in every direction, and rubber gripping for improved traction. An elevated cushioning stature is supported by the larger sized hexes located on the shoe’s outsole, coupled with the fact that the new Free Trainer 5.0 sits one millimeter higher than its predecessor, the Free Trainer 3.0. Stay tuned for additional information regarding a future launch date and official pricing.
