Lykke Li continues to support her 2014 effort, I Never Learn. Several months after unveiling the video for “Gunshot,” the Swedish songstress shared a video for “Never Gonna Love Again.” The video is directed by Philippe Tempelman, who has previously won awards for his impressive visual work. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Lykke Li had the following exchange with writer Brittany Spanos regarding today’s visual:
“Loneliness and heartbreak follow you everywhere and they are loudest right after the lights go out and the crowds quiet,” tells Li to Rolling Stone about the inspiration for the somber song and video. “Here’s an intimate glimpse of how it can be to live your dream whilst stuck in your dream. In the lonely wolf hour, the night becomes your stage, the stars your audience, the rain your memories.”
