The previous collaboration between Tim Coppens and Common Projects yielded two silhouettes, which both shifted the minimalist precedent set by the footwear brand without being overbearing. This simple balance of color and taste has been reiterated in this season’s outing, which finds the two parties creating a runner-inspired silhouette. The upper is composed with varying flips on leather and mesh, starting with traditional smooth leather hits at the collar, interior lining and toecap, while navy patent leather at the midfoot adds a touch of luxury to the shoe. Elsewhere, a clever juxtaposition of net and mesh at the toe box ties together the theme of contrast, which is again elegantly executed by Tim Coppens.
