During NYFW Diddy was in the front row beside the Carters, Mrs. Kardashian-West and Anna Wintour at the adidas presentation and both he and Kanye are on the TIDAL team. Last month, Puff posted an Instagram to share he would be returning to his production roots and that he would be collaborating fellow producer-turned-rapper-turned-mogul, Kanye West on his upcoming album, Making Money Mitch. Clearly, they are finding success in working together as Diddy announced this weekend that Chi-town native will be joining the infamous production team, The Hitmen.
The supergroup has been Diddy’s in-house production team and is essentially responsible for much of Bad Boy’s success and reputation having created hits with the likes of Usher, Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, Boyz II Men and Aretha Franklin, among others. Ye will joining Chucky Thompson, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie, Steven “Stevie J” Jordan, Mario Winans and Nashiem Myrick as a member of The Hitmen and together, they will all be working Diddy’s first album since 2010. With very distinct production styles between The Hitmen and Kanye, it will be very exciting to see what this hugely established team can create.
