First unveiled back in September of last year, the Apple Watch highlighted today’s “Spring Forward” event from the Cupertino-based tech giant as the company finally announced the price points and release date for the highly anticipated device.

As previously mentioned, the Watch will be available as a part of three different collections: Sport, Watch and Edition. Crafted out of a new anodized aluminum that’s scratch-resistant and 60% stronger than standard alloys, the Watch appears in both 38mm and 42mm form and retails for $349 and $399 USD, respectively, with the Sport collection’s colorful fluorelastomer bands while the pricier Milanese loop and link bracelets — offered in “Space Black” or traditional silver stainless steel — of the Watch collection will run run you anywhere from $549 to $1,099 USD. The 18-carat solid gold Apple Watch Edition will start at $10,000 USD and be available in limited quantities at select Apple retail stores.

Apple also went on to highlight the much talked-about battery life of the device, as well as the new Watch app. The Watch has been designed to offer an “all-day” battery life, lasting up to 18 hours and replenished via a nifty magnetic charger that snaps on to the back of the device. Thus, wearers will indeed have to plan on charging their watch each and every night. Finally, the device can be managed via a new Apple Watch app, which is out now as a part of the iOS 8.2 update.

The Apple Watch will be available April 24 with pre-orders beginning April 10.
