When you were 16 years old, the biggest concern you probably had was the happenings of your high school social scene. Meet Jarett Koral, a 16-year-old from Detroit who runs Jett Plastic Recordings, a recording company that has pressed records for 12 different bands in the last two years. Founded at the age of 14, Jett Plastic Recordings is legally run by Jarett’s mother Noelle as a 16-year-old cannot legally own the company himself but, don’t get it twisted, the young entrepreneur funded the whole project by selling his own vinyl collection for a cool $2,000. Jarett is the entire business end, using two separate facilities to make his label run, including a red decoder vinyl that reveals song lyrics when held over the sleeve. Currently, Jett Plastic is pressing for child star Macaulay Culkin’s The Pizza Underground, a record release of the band’s original demo. While the young businessman does not make huge profits just yet, it is likely that his passion, determination and experience will propel him to greatness in the future.
