KYLE. - Wait On Me

If you’ve followed KYLE. since the early beginnings of his career, you’ve seen him grow into a versatile artist. After dropping his fun-filled “Fall In Love” and “Just A Picture,” the Ventura, California native drops a heartfelt tribute to his late grandfather Thomas Marty, called “Wait On Me.” The song, which was produced by Sunny Norway and Beni Haze, opens another creative chapter in his growth. Along with the song, he sent out following words:

“This is the most personal story I’ve told thus far in my music,” he told Complex over e-mail. “Its about a promise.. a promise a 16-year-old me made to my grandfather as he was passing away. He told me ‘one day your family will need you .. the world will need you, it will be dark and cold and lonely but they will need you to shine.’”

I’ve spent a long time waiting for that light to shine, waiting to wake up a superhero who can save the day, even changed my name to SuperDuperKyle,” he says. “Its not easy becoming a hero, but there’s a hero inside of us all. Grandpa, I haven’t forgotten my promise to you, my promise to our family, I will bring us out of the darkness. I will be the man you knew I could be. I’m almost there. Wait on me.”
