A Look Inside MUJI's New Fifth Avenue Flagship Store
The Japanese retailer’s U.S. takeover continues.

Japanese lifestyle retailer MUJI recently opened up the doors to its brand new Fifth Avenue flagship location across the street from the New York Public Library landmark Schwarzman Building. Joining the company’s other four NYC locations, the latest store offers a number of luggage, furniture and stationary options that join a selection of imported Japanese snacks and teas. The retailer’s design-efficient kitchenwear and a number of Japanese and English books and design and culture will also be available for purchase. Unlike the other Big Apple stores, the flagship location offers customers the chance to personalize any textiles or garments with embroidered letters or one of the 100+ designs that have been made available in the store’s design book for only $3 USD. Vibrant plant installations by Tokyo and NYC boutique Green Fingers and a “Aroma Labo” scent station are also featured in the new space. Get a glimpse of the MUJI’s new Fifth Avenue Flagship Store above and make sure to check it out if you’re in the area.
