Mike Dean - White Black Jesus
The legendary producer drops a HYPETRAK-exclusive.
Mike Dean’s CV is undeniable. Though known of late as one of the key contributors to Kanye West’s creative team — Dean contributed to the mixes of both The College Dropout and Late Registration before acting as a producer for Graduation, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch The Throne, Cruel Summer and Yeezus — Dean has been at it since the ’80s, working as Selena’s musical director before pioneering the Dirty South sound of the 1990s. Now a bonafide legend, Dean has been contributing to some of the most high-profile records of the past year, including A$AP Rocky’s At.Long.Last.A$AP, Travis Scott’s Rodeo, Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise and The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness.
So, what better way to kick off a new producer-centric series than by linking up with one of the most crucial musical polymaths around? That’s exactly what our compadres over at HYPETRAK have done with the first installment of HT Beats.
