Guy Mariano Has Joined Nike SB
The rumors are true.
Following months of rumors and speculation, Guy Mariano mysteriously dropped his Girl, Fourstar, and Lakai sponsors earlier this week and now we know why: Mariano has officially joined Nike SB. Nike SB introduced Mariano yesterday, saying:
One of the greatest skateboarders of all-time, Guy Mariano represents decades of influence and accomplishment while setting the bar currently with innovation and style. He is the favorite skater to many of the worlds best and today we are proud to be able to say, welcome to the Nike SB team, Guy.
And given this Instagram post yesterday, it looks like fellow Girl legend Eric Koston may have severed his ties with Crailtap as well. Ultimately, who knows what all will happen next, but maybe Mariano will get his very own Swoosh-branded signature shoe. Stay tuned for more and, in the meantime, peep the video above.
