An Amy Winehouse Biopic Is in the Works

Asif Kapadia’s Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, was a success after its release earlier this year. Now, another film about the late British singer is in the works. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the biopic will be written and directed by Kristen Sheridan. Noomi Rapace is “in talks” to star, but nothing official has been confirmed yet. This may not even be the final movie, however; Mitch Winehouse, the singer’s father, expressed the family’s dissatisfaction with Kapadia’s film and is too trying to make his own rendition.
