Kanye West Plays New Song at iHeartMedia Music Summit

While people at the iHeartMedia Music Summit event expected Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels to speak for the entire presentation, he surprised the audiences by announcing this: “I wanna stop this and turn it over to one of the great iconic rock stars of our time: Kanye West,” as Billboard reports. For the next 45 minutes — without a mic — Yeezy describes to the audience about his reason behind consistent creativity as being derived from an innate “responsibility to innovate,” and brings them down a trip through memory lane with examples starting from the beginning of his career. To end off the presentation, he played a new song: an untitled acoustic guitar-laden duet that featured Rihanna, which is reported by Billabord to contain “big, soaring chorus and melody with a massive hook.” Nothing is confirmed but it is speculated to be the track Ty Dolla $ign was referring to earlier in his interview with Billboard. We’ll have to wait and see.
