For an unknown reason, social media sites Facebook and Instagram appear to have been down for some time earlier today. For those accessing through their handheld devices, the mobile versions were also unavailable. Facebook provided the message: “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.” Panic arose from Internet users and the hashtag #facebookdown has hence appeared on Twitter, which is currently trending worldwide. No worries though, both sites are now working fine. Check out some entertaining reaction tweets below and tell us your #facebookdown stories.
Panic over, folks!
Baby photos, FarmVille invites and pictures of food are all readily accessible again.
Phew.
