When you think of Rolls-Royce, persistent images of luxury, sophistication and wealth usually permeate the mind. The English automotive power is starkly aware of this, that’s why when the infamous brand caught wind that an Atlanta rapper was making profit off of their ubiquitous logo design, their response was not amicable. Royce Rizzy, formerly known as Rolls Royce Rizzy, has been charged with copyright infringement on account of old tour merchandise which appropriates the ‘Double R’ logo. Rizzy denies selling the product for profit, claiming he only wears the T-shirts out of his own fondness for them. Nevertheless, that has not swayed the high-end car company from pursuing legal action, the extent of which is still unknown. They say any press is good press but, for Rizzy, this may not be the case.
