While many houses are taking their 2015 spring/summer collections to the runway, Tourne De Transmission hits the blogosphere to deliver its lookbook, titled “HERE.” For its latest sartorial journey, the London-based label climbs the sandy dunes of North Africa to look back at mainland Europe for the perfect mixture of wearable wardrobe staples with ethnic prints and patterns. Initially inspired by Bauhaus teacher Paul Klee’s North African trips, “HERE” looks closer at how African color schemes and textures influenced Klee’s work upon his return to Europe. This collection presents an examination in how certain cultures embrace Western clothing, but unknowingly fuse it with their own traditional garments to create a look that’s free strict, dated traditions. Further details within the range include prints inspired by Klee’s work, a muted color palette and choice fabrics sourced from all over the globe.
