Uber Launches Private Jet Service for the 2014 Cannes Film Festival

As the stars and Hollywood hopefuls descend on the French Riviera this week, Uber will take part in the annual celebration of the silver screen as it introduces its new private jet service for the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. Created in partnership with GOODWILL Private Jets and dubbed UberJET, the limited-time service will go the extra mile for the festival’s wealthiest attendees, allowing them to fly to and from Cannes simply by requesting a jet via Uber’s smartphone app. After completing a request, users will be picked up via a private driver and driven directly to a private plane at the Bourget airport. After touching down in either Nice or Cannes, a private driver will once again be present to ferry the passengers to their final destination.

UberJET launched today and will be available for the 2014 festival through May 18 with flights priced at €6,490 EUR (approximately $8,930 USD).
