ScHoolboy Q‘s album was primarily a brooding, hazy ode to the grisly south central streets he grew up in, but “Studio” — his collaboration with crooner BJ The Chicago Kid — was an outlier that spoke more to the “groovy” side of Q’s “groovy gangsta” persona. For the song’s visual, Q basically enacts the lustful lyrics of the track, as the rapper is depicted working in the studio as his tattooed, scantily-clad lust interest awaits for him somewhere else. Towards the end there is reconciliation though, and Q appears to come out on top. Take a look at the video above.
